New Lambton House

Newcastle

The redesign of this 1920’s Circa Home in New Lambton focused on giving the home a new lease on life while retaining the charm of its heritage. Throughout the original architecture grey and charcoal-painted walls are edged by white woodwork. From here, the layering of furnishing and finishes builds up the place’s warm, sophisticated feel. Whites continue in the ceiling and key pieces of furniture. A grey sofa and bedding introduce a soft mid-tone against which monochrome rugs add bold details. – The new extension included a sharp white kitchen and cabinetry, new timber framed sliding doors opening out to a spacious deck, creating a visual link to the outside. Pops of orange, pink and blue give a link to the vibrant garden and pool outside, with a few warm tones echoed in the timber flooring retro side board and taupe lounge.
